Title Clerk


PURPOSE:


Processes car deals for the sales department. S/he verifies costs, including the costs of reconditioning and equipment add-ons, for the accounting department and prepares legal transfer documents for the DMV. S/ he also administers all factory or other rebate and incentive programs. S/he maintains and updates the VIN system in the computer.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


Maintain accurate VIN records, updating when add-ons or changes are made to the inventory.


Add and maintain new and used vehicles.


Receive and process all paperwork on vehicle sales, including financing paperwork.


Make daily payoffs of floor planned vehicles to FMCC.


Verify costs on vehicles, calculate vehicle sales accounting, calculate salesmen commissions.


Keep accurate records of salesmen commissions, and reconcile on a bi-weekly basis.


Make sure trade-in pay-offs are made in a timely manner.


Post all vehicle sales to accounting, after verifying accuracy.


Review Parts and Service accounting, and verify charges to vehicle inventory or expense accounts.


Submit (DSE) sales entries via computer daily, making sure correct sale types are used.


Enter retail and stock orders and corrections (daily), using concepts program.


Register all ESP, ESC extended warranties daily.


Process a daily motivator board for sales department.


Maintain RCL supplement files.


Process all Title/Registration documents in a timely manner.


Review and post Dealer Payment Statements twice monthly.


Get authorization for any write-offs or adjustments to COS or expense accounts from proper management.


Balance all Reserve statements monthly, make F&a;I Manager aware of any differences.


Process and track all program and incentive programs.


Double check all rebates issued by sales department, act as final check point checking for eligibility.


Run Ford Answerbacks daily and distribute.


Reconcile all schedules that pertain to vehicle accounting at EOM.



Qualifications:
(not required, but would be applicable)


2 Year Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent


10-Key calculator proficiency


Good computer knowledge and experience (Excel, Word, Etc)


Dealer Track Experience


Previous Auto Dealership Experience



Salary:
$15 per hourEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
