Length of Position:1 year contract
Education Requirements:Bachelor''s Degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline (Five years related work experience in the field of construction and facility operations for oil and gas may substitute for degree).
Job Description:
Train field and operations personnel on key safety and environmental topics, with a focus on process safety fundamentals SRM1
Develop and maintain training materials for safety and environmental compliance in conjunction with operations staff and EHSR staff at a variety of upstream and midstream oil and gas operations and facilities
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of safety and environmental compliance requirements for upstream and midstream oil and gas production, but is flexible enough to adjust training strategies, topics, and methodologies based on changing company requirements.
Ability to work with field and operations personnel, as well as EHSR staff, to deliver required process safety lessons in both an operational and a classroom environment.
Must be willing to begin training design process immediately upon hiring.
Maintain professional expertise by attending professional development conferences, monitoring regulatory changes, changes in the safety and health profession, and maintaining all professional certifications.Skills Required:
5 years experience
Bachelor''s Degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline (Five years related work experience in the field of construction and facility operations for oil and gas may substitute for degree).
Valid Driver''s license and US work authorization
Training/teaching experience with qualifications for training various safety topics as required by regulatory SRM1 , particularly in operations or construction with an emphasis on process safety principles
Ability to meet physical demands of position including ability to climb a ladder, lift moderately heavy equipment and work outside for extended periods of time.
Preferred
DOT hazardous materials transportation experience
Bilingual Spanish/English
OSHA Certified 10 and 30 hours training
