Colorado National Guard Dual Status Technician Announcement Technicians are employed under the authority of Title 32 USC, Section 709, which states, in part, that technicians are to be employed in "the administration and training of the National Guard," and "the maintenance and repair of supplies issued to the National Guard."

Technician Note: The compatible AFSC for this position is 3D1X3 failure to maintain AFSC compatibility can result in termination.

The purpose of this position is to supervise workers on a day-to-day or project-by project basis, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders or small shop chiefs, in accomplishing the work operations of the organizational segment or work shift and to perform associated non-supervisory work. The occupation and grade level, which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is Electronic Digital Computer Mechanic.

Major Duties :
Plans and schedules specific work assignments on a daily or project-to-project basis within specified time requirements. Assigns tasks to be performed. Recommends individuals to fill vacancies or for promotion or reassignment. Performs the non-supervisory functions of the organizational segment supervised. Implements regulatory safety requirements and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Performs other duties as assigned.

_Military Requirements_ _-_ Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS. Specific requirements are found in: references listed below, NGB Compatibility tables and your local Personnel section.
_ Other Requirements_ - For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
