Colorado National Guard Dual Status Technician Announcement Technicians are employed under the authority of Title 32 USC, Section 709, which states, in part, that technicians are to be employed in the administration and training of the National Guard, and the maintenance and repair of supplies issued to the National Guard.

The purpose of this position is to serve as technical lead over anorganizational element in acommunications function with responsibility for leading the accomplishmentof mission tasks. Leads one or more technicians whoperform work in the Electronic Digital Computer Mechanic, WG-2608- 11,occupation that are assigned to theSpace Systems Flight.
Membership in the Colorado National Guard Must hold the grade of E-5 to E-7 Compatible Military Assignment 3D1XX AFSC Participation in Direct Deposit is mandatory Submit All Required Documentation
Major Duties :
Plans and lays out work to be accomplished in the shop which is then completed by the technician and lower graded mechanic(s). Performs the full range of shop work. Implements safety regulatory requirements. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. May be required to perform additional duties such as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operation, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a member of a team to cope with natural disasters or civil emergencies. Performs other duties as assigned.

_Military Requirements_ _-_ Military skill set is determined by AFSC requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC. Specific requirements are found in: references listed below, NGB Compatibility tables and your local Personnel section.
_ Other Requirements_ - For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
